Name a craft and I’ve probably tried it. As a kid I had starter kits of all sorts, but many fewer finished projects. In college I got a minor in studio art with emphases on graphic design and ceramics. I still really love both of those but in the spring of 2014 I tried my hand at quilting for the first time. I bought a small, used sewing machine for $15 figuring I could try quilting out without committing quite so much money to start up costs. Next thing I knew I was truly hooked and I’ve had many projects going at once since then (and I even finish most of them!). I love designing quilts and doing the math to get them exactly the way I want. I love piecing quilts and seeing all the blocks come together into something cohesive and I love quilting the whole thing and trying to make interesting secondary designs to complement the pieced design. Pretty much I love quilting and I’m using this site to share with friends and family and to keep a visual log of my projects as a sort of portfolio.
